2nd Grade Parents,

Dear 2nd Grade Parents,
We are hard at work preparing for our upcoming Mesibat HaChumash and are very excited to celebrate with you!   We are learning, building, performing and not resting for a moment.  This week we reviewed the taamei hamikra and Baruch Hashem most of the children are already reading their p'sukim beautifully - loudly, fluently and without errors.
There are some students who can still benefit from reviewing some more and should continue to practice.
Next week we will move on from using the tikun, to looking at a real Torah.  This will help further strengthen their reading skills.  I am grateful for your cooperation and partnership thus far and know that if we continue to work together all of our students will shine.
Today we learned about the mitzvah of hachnassat orchim.  We learned about Avraham and what happens in this week's parsha.  We learned about Abraham Ibn Ezra and what occurred when he ate all of the food in the refrigerator at his host's home. Ask your children to tell you all about it at the Shabbat table.
Shabbat Shalom,
Rav Yohanan
