Today we began using our spelling notebooks. Every week, the students will be writing their weekly spelling words in their notebooks on Friday. Every Wednesday, we will be having a spelling quiz in the form of a BINGO game. Please help review the spelling words with your child over shabbat and throughout the week leading up to Wednesday.
Some ways that you can review the weekly spellling words include:
- Write each word 3 times
- Make a memory matching game with the words
- Make flashcards
- Spelling Tic-tac-toe
- Pay specific attention to the tricky letters like ones that sound the same (i.e chet and chaf, sin and samech, aleph and ayin, etc.)
This week's words:
Welcome (male)- ברוך הבא
Welcome (female)- ברוכה הבאה
Good- טוב
Not good- לא טוב
Slow-לאט
Fast-מהר
